This history item belongs to Polyrhachis eudora Smith, 1860

Its current taxon owner(s) is Polyrhachis eudora

[Note: type material of Polyrhachis eudora is absent from BMNH and OXUM. A queen in OXUM and a worker in BMNH were formerly regarded as syntypes of this species. Both are labelled “Bac.” (=Bacan I.), the locality given by Smith, 1860b, and the queen has a Donisthorpe type label. However, it is apparent from Smith, 1860b’s description and figure that true Polyrhachis eudora belongs in subgenus Polyrhachis (Myrmothrinax), whereas both these specimens are of subgenus Polyrhachis (Myrma), and are not type material of Polyrhachis eudora (B. Bolton unpublished notes 1978).]

[Note: type material of {tax 445677} is absent from BMNH and OXUM. A queen in OXUM and a worker in BMNH were formerly regarded as syntypes of this species. Both are labelled “Bac.” (=Bacan I.), the locality given by {ref 128691}, and the queen has a Donisthorpe type label. However, it is apparent from {ref 128691}’s description and figure that true {tax 445677} belongs in subgenus {tax 429322}, whereas both these specimens are of subgenus {tax 429314}, and are not type material of {tax 445677} (B. Bolton unpublished notes 1978).]
