| Etymology | The etymology (“long node”) supports a reading as a noun in apposition (Art. 31.2.1), but the neuter spelling can only be adjectival in the nominative case as “long-noded” (Art. 11.9). This must change to masculine longinodis to agree with Chelaner (Art. 31.2). |
