Type notes 1) Donisthorpe, 1932c: 468, cites 1 worker in OXUM. 2) Bolton, 1977: 99, Bolton (unpublished notes) 1978, points out that the holotype is a queen, not a worker. 3) The original description is titled “Worker,” but this is a misprint as Smith, 1861b mentions the presence of black ocelli.
