Etymology | The species is dedicated to Mr. Hans-Werner Ribbecke (Germany), a private amber collector who kindly donated the piece of amber with the holotype and two paratype specimens of this species to SIZK collection. |

Secondary type locality: Ukraine: Rivne region, some of unknown locality, 3 specimens from Zarichniansky District, Kuhotska Volya village, and 2 specimens from Volodymeretsky District, Voronky village; all in Rovno amber, Late Eocene.
