Primary type locality: Mexico: Chiapas, Simojovel, Montrecristo mine, 17°09′11″ N, 92°46′08″ W; Mexican amber, upper strata of Simojovel Formation, late Oligocene and early Miocene boundary. Primary type depository: CPAL-UAEM. Primary type specimen: CPAL.464.
