Named in honor of the myrmecologist Jaqueline A. Paes, for her contributions in army-ants’ taxonomy, ant anatomy, and natural history of army ants. Following ICZN’s (2005) Article 11.9.1.2, the name of this species should be treated as a noun in the nominative singular standing in apposition to the generic name. |
