Type notes | 1) This taxon is based on specimens of Camponotus semipunctatus , sensu Forel, 1879a: 57, and sensu Forel, 1904b: 152, misidentifications. 2) Wheeler, 1910g: 334, also cites U.S.A. localities in Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Idaho, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and South Dakota, and in Canada: British Columbia, but adds, “I would regard California as the type locality”. |
