| Type notes | 1) Forel, 1893f: 465, says he is uncertain of the conspecificity of the majors and minors from the two localities and two collectors. 2) Fischer & Fisher, 2013: 346, designated a lectotype major worker and 3 paralectotype minor workers but gave the locality only as Canary Is, without further data. 3) Seifert, 2016b: 3, designated a second (different) lectotype major worker from Las Palmas (presumably collected by A. Cabrera y Diaz). 4) Therefore the original syntype data is given as “Type material”. |
