Acanthostichus skwarrae Wheeler, 1934g: 161 (w.) MEXICO (Veracruz). Neotropic.

Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype worker (head missing). Primary type locality: Mexico: Veracruz, Tamarindo, 3.iv.1929, no. 34 (E. Skwarra). Primary type depository: MCZC. Type notes: 1) Original description stated, “a single specimen... found running on the ground”. 2) Mackay’s reference (MacKay, 1996: 167) to this specimen as lectotype (in text) is therefore redundant.
