Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype worker. Primary type locality: Malaysia: Borneo, Sarawak, Kuching (J. Hewitt). Primary type depository: unknown (holotype lost (Brown, 1975: 60)). Type notes: This taxon was based on a worker of Cerapachys antennatus Smith, 1857a, sensu Wheeler, 1919f: 45, misidentification.

Status as species: Chapman & Capco, 1951: 20.
