Primary type locality: U.S.A: Florida, Highlands County, Archbold Biological Station, Lake Placid, Sebring (no collector’s name; or perhaps Sebring is the name of the collector). Primary type depository: FSCG. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 119 paratype workers + queens. Secondary type locality: same as for holotype. Secondary type depositories: ABSV, AMNH, FSCG, LACM, MCZC, USNM. Type notes: 1) Trager, 1988a does not specify numbers of workers and queens. 2) Shattuck, 1994: 78, cites 18 worker paratypes (9 LACM, 9 USNM).
