Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype worker. Primary type locality: Indonesia: Kalimantan (“SE Borneo”), Tandjong (F. Suck). Primary type depository: unknown (perhaps MHNG). Type notes: Holotype was originally described from Hamburg Museum, so perhaps destroyed in World War II.

Status as species: Wheeler, 1919f: 139; Wheeler, 1924c: 254; Chapman & Capco, 1951: 255 (error).
