Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype worker. Primary type locality: India: Tamil Nadu, Anaimalai Hills, 18 km. N Valparai, 1250 m., 18.xi.1972, no. 35 (C. Besuchet & I. Löbl). Primary type depository: MHNG. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 22 paratype workers, 6 paratype queens, 7 paratype males. Secondary type locality: same as for holotype. Secondary type depositories: BMNH, MCZC, MHNG, MSNG.
