Primary type information:
Type-material: lectotype male (by designation of MacKay, 1996: 170). Type-locality: Mexico: La Puerta, 6.v.1895 (C.H.T. Townsend). Type-depository: MCZC.
Type notes:
Original type-series consisted of 1 syntype queen, 2 syntype males, initially deposited in USNM. The male currently in MCZC (lectotype) now appears to be the only extant specimen (MacKay, 1996: 170).
