Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype worker. Primary type locality: Congo (“Congo français”): (no further data) (A. Weiss). Primary type depository: NHMB. Primary type specimen: CASENT0911420. Type notes: 1) Original description gives no indication of number of specimens, but Santschi, 1917a: 277, says the taxon was originally based on a single worker, confirmed by Baroni Urbani, 1977e: 67. 2) Gómez, 2022: 60, includes a specimen from Cameroon as a syntype, a locality not mentioned in the original description. 3) He also includes as syntypes the specimens redescribed by Santschi, 1917a: 277, which are not type material.
