Primary type information: Type-material: holotype worker. Type-locality: Vietnam: Lao Cai, Sa Pa, 4.v.2002, Eg02-VN-272 (K. Eguchi). Type-depository: IEHV. Secondary type information: Paratype-material: 7 paratype workers. Paratype-locality: same as for holotype. Paratype-depositories: IEHV, SKYC, TNHM.

Status as species: Jaitrong & Ruangsittichai, 2018: 113 (in key); Khachonpisitsak et al., 2020: 32.
