Primary type information: Primary type material: 24 syntype workers. Primary type locality: 5 workers Ecuador: Galapagos Is, S Albemarle I. (= Isabela I.) (F.X. Williams), 19 workers Galapagos Is, S Albemarle I. (= Isabela I.) (“Albatross 1899”). Primary type depositories: CASC, MCZC, USNM. Type notes: Shattuck, 1994: 86, also cites other specimens from several localities not mentioned in the original description.
