Type notes: 1) The paratypes dated 27.iv.1924 were removed from Stictoponera chapmani and transferred to Stictoponera leiolabia by Lattke, 2004: 189. 2) Brown records the holotype (in fact all type-material) as being in MCZC, but Lattke, 2004: 187, places the holotype in USNM.
