Primary type depository: NHMB. Type notes: 1) Baroni Urbani, 1973b: 128, cites 14w syntypes NHMB. 2) Scott-Santos et al. (2008) indicate that the MZSP houses 2 syntype workers of Holcoponera brasiliensis pernambucana (Coll. Borgmeier 1709, MZSP0083478). Additionally, the Borgmeier's handwritten catalog #1709 (at MZSP) indicate that the specimen is a “Typen”. Thus, this specimen is likely part of the type series, as it was Borgmeier who recognized the species and sent it to Santschi for their description.
