Primary type information: Type-material: holotype worker. Type-locality: Colombia: Santa Marta Mts, Walker Expd., 7.vii.1913, #55 (F.M. Gaige). Type-depository: MCZC. Secondary type information: Paratype-material: 5 paratype workers. Paratype-locality: same as for holotype. Paratype-depositories: AMNH, BMNH, MCZC, MZSP.
