Primary type information: Primary type material: 20 syntype workers. Primary type locality: Brazil: Minas Gerais, Pirapora, 1912 (E. Garbe). Primary type depositories: MCZC, MHNG, NHMB (perhaps also UFRRJ). Type notes: 1) Kempf, 1963b: 423, cites 2 worker syntypes in MCZC. 2) Previously cited as being in MZSP by Klingenberg & Brandão, 2005: 46, but not found by Ulysséa et al., 2025: 12. Possibly in UFRRJ.
