Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype worker. Primary type locality: U.S.A.: Nevada, Washoe County, Pyramid Mining Dist., 5 mi. W Mullen Gap, 7.iv.1951 (I. La Rivers). Primary type depository: USNM. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 37 paratype workers. Secondary type locality: same as for holotype. Secondary type depositories: AMNH, LACM, MCZC, USNM. Type notes: 1) Smith, 1951d: 93, says 10 queens, 5 males from the type series have not been described through lack of good characters for recognition. 2) Smith, 1951d: 93, says 12 paratype workers are in I. La Rivers collection; current whereabouts unknown but possibly in DRIR.
