Type notes: 1) Shattuck, 1994: 135, cites 36 worker, 3 male syntypes (3w ANIC, 33w, 3m MHNG). 2) Shattuck, 1994 also mentions (as syntypes) specimens from Australia: Victoria, and Papua New Guinea: Bismarck Archipelago; these were not included in the original description.
