Probolomyrmex okinawensis Terayama & Ogata, 1988: 591, figs. 1-5 (w.q.) JAPAN (Ryukyu Is). Palearctic.

Primary type information: Type-material: holotype worker. Type-locality: Japan: Ryukyu Is, Okinawa-hontou Is (= Okinawa-jima), Chibana, 19.iii.1983 (T. Mizukami). Type-depository: KUEC. Secondary type information: Paratype-material: 5 paratype workers, 2 paratype queens. Paratype-locality: 4 paratype workers with same data as holotype, 1 paratype worker, 1 paratype queen Okinawa-hontou Is, Nakasone, 20.xi.1975 (T. Abe), 1 paratype queen Okinawa-hontou Is, Nakijin-joushi, 7.iii.1984 (K. Onoyama).
