Primary type information: Primary type material: lectotype major worker (by designation of LaPolla, 2005a: 98). Primary type locality: Democratic Republic of the Congo (“Belgian Congo”): Medje, from stomachs of toads (H.O. Lang). Primary type depository: MCZC. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 2 paralectotype major workers, 7 paralectotype minor workers, 4 paralectotype males. Secondary type locality: same as for lectotype. Secondary type depositories: MCZC, USNM. Type notes: 1) Original syntype series: 4 major workers, 11 minor workers, 3 queens, 8 males. 2) LaPolla, 2005a: 98, excludes 2 queens of the original series as misidentifications, and adds that some syntypes are missing.
