Primary type information: Primary type material: 3 syntype workers. Primary type locality: Costa Rica: Porto Limon, 24.xi.1928 (W.M. Wheeler). Primary type depository: NHMB. Type notes: 1) Santschi, 1929h described this taxon from 3 worker syntypes, which Baroni Urbani, 1973b: 128, cites as present in NHMB. 2) A specimen in MCZC, cited by Lattke, 1995: 149, may be from the same series. 3) Mônica Antunes Ulysséa, Ulysséa et al., 2025: Table S1, cite 2 workers (MZSP0083479, MZSP0083480) from the type series in MZSP. However, these specimens have collection dates of 24.xi.1921 and 24.xi.1911, respectively. These dates may have been entered incorrectly.
