Type notes: 1) Baroni Urbani, 1977e: 80, cites 2 queen syntypes in NHMB. 2) Shattuck, 1994: 12, cites workers and queens from Panama: Bugaba (3 in MCZC, 2 in NHMB), adding “probably not type material”; workers are not mentioned in the original description. 3) Other original syntype locality: Panama: Bugaba (Champion).
