Primary type material: holotype worker. Primary type locality: Japan: Shikoku, Kochi Pref., Kochi, Hiro-okakami, 29.iii.1967 (M. Kubota). Primary type depository: holotype depository unknown, perhaps KUPC.
Secondary type information:
Secondary type material: 30 paratype workers. Secondary type locality: same as for holotype. Secondary type depositories: BMNH, KUPC, NHMB.
Type notes:
Baroni Urbani, 1977c: 444, says that the holotype + 20 paratypes were returned to Kubota (KUPC) for deposition in Japanese institutions.
