Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype worker. Primary type locality: Brazil: (no further data). Primary type depository: MHNG. Type notes: 1) Pacheco & Mackay, 2013: 357, nominate a lectotype, but Forel was dealing with only a single specimen, sent by Mayr. 2) Other specimens from the same series may be preserved in NHMW, but do not constitute the original type series of this taxon.
