Primary type locality: Fiji Is: Viti Levu, Nadarivatu, 1915-16 (W.M. Mann). Primary type depositories: LACM, MCZC, USNM. Type notes: 1) Shattuck, 1994: 133, cites 20 worker, 1 queen, 1 male syntypes (3w MCZC, 17w, 1q, 1m USNM). 2) Shattuck, 1994 also cites numerous specimens that bear red “cotype” labels but are not from the type-series (this information is repeated by Sarnat & Economo, 2012: 34).
