Type notes: Shattuck, 1994: 102, and Heterick & Shattuck, 2011: 60, also cite 2 syntype/paralectotype workers from Day Dawn (Western Australia), a locality not mentioned in the original description but is one of the localities from which the junior synonym Iridomyrmex chasei yalgooensis was described.
