Type notes: 1) In the original description Forel, 1901c: 21, records that nests with alate queens and males were dated 1.vi.1896, 4.vii.1896, 18.vii.1896, and 20.x.1896. 2) Baroni Urbani, 1977e: 76, cites 3 worker syntypes in NHMB. 3) Shattuck, 1994: 134, cites 36 worker, 12 queen, 18 male syntypes (32w, 12q, 18m MHNG, 3w NHMB, 1w OXUM).
