Primary type information: Primary type material: syntype workers (number not stated). Primary type locality: Australia: Western Australia, Ludlow, nos 2, 5 (J. Clark). Primary type depositories: NHMB, OXUM. Type notes: Baroni Urbani, 1973b: 125, cites ‘1w syntype’ in NHMB from Darlington, but this locality is not mentioned in the original description.

Status as species: Clark, 1951: 61.
