Phyrnoponera gabonensis var. fecunda [sic] Wheeler, 1922: 78 (w.q.) Note: Phyrnoponera is a misspelling of Phrynoponera. DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO. Afrotropic.

Primary type information: Primary type material: 11 syntype workers, 1 syntype queen. Primary type locality: Democratic Republic of Congo (“Belgian Congo”): Akenge, stomach Bufo superciliaris, polycercus, funereus, tuberosus (Lang & Chapin). [On some syntypes: Akenge, 26°50’E, 2°55’N, stomach Bufo polycercus/Bufo funereus (H.O. Lang).] Primary type depositories: AMNH, LACM, MCZC.
