Primary type information: Primary type material: 4 syntype major workers, 4 syntype minor workers, 4 syntype males. Primary type locality: France: Pyrénées Orientales, S Banyuls, N face of Pic Jouan, 400 m., ix.1942 (F. Bernard). Primary type depository: MNHN. Type notes: Galkowski et al., 2010: 160, cite 32 worker, 4 male syntypes in MNHN dated iv.1950, which disagrees with the published date (ix.1942); these specimens are certainly not type material.
