Primary type information: Primary type material: syntype workers, syntype queens, syntype males (numbers not stated). Primary type localities: Bahamas: Andros I., Southern Bight, v.-vi.1904 (W.M. Wheeler) (invalid restriction of type locality by Kempf, 1972b: 247; no lectotype designated), Bahamas: New Providence I., Nassau, West Bay, v.-vi.1904 (W.M. Wheeler), New Providence I., vic. Nassau (Fort Charlotte, Blue Hills, Hog Key), v.-vi.1904 (W.M. Wheeler), U.S.A.: Florida, Card’s Point (W.M. Wheeler). Primary type depositories: AMNH, ANIC, MCZC. Type notes: 1) Shattuck, 1994: 146, cites 31 worker, 13 queen, 3 male syntypes (19w, 10q, 1m AMNH, 12w, 3q, 2m MCZC). 2) Shattuck, 1994 points out that there are specimens of a Paratrechina (probably actually a Nylanderia) species mounted among the MCZC syntypes.
