Odontomachus bispinosus Smith, 1858a: 199 (w.) BRAZIL (Amazonas). Neotropic.
Primary type information: Type-material: holotype worker. Type-locality: Brazil: Ega (= Tefé), 58/6 (Bates). Type-depository: NHMB or NHRS. Type notes: In the original description Smith mentions that the ant was accompanied by a beetle (“a species of Cylistes”) but at some time in the past the card on which they were both mounted has been divided, and the beetle removed.
