Primary type information: Primary type material: syntype workers (number not stated, “numerous”), 20 syntype queens. Primary type locality: Japan: Kyushu, Kumamoto-ken, Saruwatari, i.1924 (K. Sato). Primary type depository: unknown (type material destroyed in World War II (Onoyama, 1982b: 2)).
