Type notes: 1) The males were later removed from the type-series and redescribed as Leptogenys karawaiewi Santschi, 1928h. 2) Baroni Urbani, 1973b: 135, cites 3 worker, 1 queen syntypes in NHMB. 3) Radchenko et al., 2023: 17, cite 10 worker, 2 queen, 1 male syntypes in SIZK.
