Type notes: 1) MacKay & MacKay, 2010: 393, designate a lectotype worker (USNM), from Guatemala: Quirigua (W.M. Wheeler); designation redundant as Escuintla is the stated type locality. 2) Marcineiro & Lattke, 2024: 25, cite a lectotype worker (USNMENT00533087, in USNM) from Peru and 1 paralectotype worker (MCZT20439, in MCZ) from Guatemala: Quirigua, 13.i.1912 (W.M. Wheeler).
