Primary type information: Primary type material: 1 syntype queen, 1 syntype male. Primary type locality: Mexico: “Mex. 56/143” (no further data). Primary type depository: BMNH. Type notes: 1) 1 queen syntype in BMNH, syntype male not found. 2) BMNH accessions register 1856/143 gives: “Mexico. Purchased of Cuming. Collected by M. Sallé on and around the volcano of Orizaba” (Bolton (unpublished notes) 1978).
