Primary type information: Primary type material: syntype workers (number not stated). Primary type locality: Australia: Tasmania (A.M. Lea). Primary type depositories: MCZC, MHNG (perhaps also SAMA). Type notes: 1) Wheeler, 1927i: 131 says, “I possess three workers and a female... obviously part of the cotype series”; these should be in MCZC. 2) Taylor, 1960: 178, cites a holotype worker, but Forel, 1913h did not designate a holotype.
