Primary type information: Type-material: holotype worker. Type-locality: Costa Rica: Puntarenas, 4 mi. S San Vito de Java, 15.viii.1967 (R.W. McDiarmid). Type-depository: LACM. Secondary type information: Paratype-material: 21 paratype workers. Paratype-locality: same as for holotype. Paratype-depositories: AMNH, LACM, MCZC.
