Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype worker. Primary type locality: Suriname (“Dutch Guiana”): Paramaribo (G.H. Bünzli). Primary type depository: IBVR. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: number not stated; 4 paratype workers. Secondary type locality: "parátipos na minha coleção"[paratypes on Borgmeier's collection]. Secondary type depositories: MCZC, MZSP. Type notes: According to a label at the MZSP Ant Collection, three paratype workers were loaned to Brown. Most of Brown's collection is at MCZC, with a smaller portion at CUIC. Both institutions were visited, but these type specimens could not be located. However, Dr. Dash not only examined these specimens but also designated a lectotype (Dash, 2011). Recently, Dr. MacKay confirmed that these types are in his collection at the University of Texas.
