Primary type information: Type-material: lectotype worker (by designation of Francoeur et al., 1985: 379). Type-locality: lectotype U.S.A.: Utah, nr Salt Lake City, 20.viii.1902 (R.V. Chamberlin). Type-depository: AMNH. Secondary type information: Paratype-material: 20 paralectotype workers, 1 paralectotype queen, 5 paralectotype males. Paratype-locality: same as for lectotype. Paratype-depositories: AMNH, MCZC, USNM. Type notes: Francoeur et al., 1985: 379, do not specify the sex/caste of the lectotype, which is assumed here to be a worker.
