Primary type information: Primary type material: 5 syntype workers, 2 syntype queens, 2 syntype males. Primary type locality: U.S.A.: (no further data) (B.D. Walsh). Primary type depository: unknown (perhaps ANSP (Creighton, 1950a: 425, Wilson, 1955a: 165)). Type notes: Wheeler, 1910h: 240, and others, suggest the type locality as Illinois: Rock Island, but this is merely Walsh’s address, as recorded at the end of the publication.
