Lasius (Acanthomyops) pogonogynus Buren, 1950: 186 (w.q.) U.S.A. (Colorado, Iowa). Nearctic.

Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype queen. Primary type locality: U.S.A.: Colorado, Red Feather Lakes, 14.vi.1933, colony N (V.S.L. Pate & A.B. Klots). Primary type depository: USNM. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 5 paratype workers, 5 paratype queens. Secondary type localities: 5 paratype workers, 2 paratype queens with same data as holotype, 3 paratype queens U.S.A.: Iowa, Sioux City, 24.vii.1926, no. 2611 (C.N. Ainslie). Secondary type depository: USNM.

[Note: according to Wing, 1968a: 117, Lasius pogonogynus is a Lasius murphyi × Lasius latipes hybrid; the name is not, however, formally synonymised.]
