Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype male. Primary type locality: India: Bombay (no collector’s name). Primary type depository: unknown (“Coll. East India House”). Type notes: Bingham, 1903: 197, claims to have examined the holotype and says, “I am convinced it does not belong to this genus [Myrmecina]; it is possibly a Tetramorium, and has the first node of the pedicel distinctly petiolate”.
