Primary type information: Primary type material: syntype workers (number not stated), 1 syntype queen. Primary type locality: Pakistan: Karakorum, Baltistan, Paju, 3500-3600 m., 1929, (Duco di Spoleto Italian Expd.) (no collector’s name). Primary type depository: MSNM. Type notes: Lectotype worker designation by Radchenko, 1997e: 438 (a specimen from Kargil (Sootoo), 17.v.1929, (MIZW), is redundant as the specimen is not from the type-series but is from one of the non-type series of material examined.
