Primary type material: holotype “transverse ergatandromorph or ergatoid male?”. Primary type locality: Morocco: between Meknès and Azou (Théry). Primary type depository: NHMB.
Type notes:
1) Cagniant, 2009: 55, says of the holotype “only 2 hips (hanches) remain on the mount”. 2) The neotype designation by Cagniant, 2009: 55, is redundant as numerous specimens are included; he says “Neotype and paratype workers, queens and males: MNHN. Material utilised: numerous workers, queens and males”.
